SystmOne Updates - February 2020

 

Clinical Reporting will be made available 24 hours a day.


Currently Clinical Reporting is made unavailable during the period in which the reporting data is being refreshed. This process starts at 18:30 and continues through to the morning. Following the release it will be possible to access Clinical Reporting during this period. Please note that reporting will still only be as up to date as the time shown on the Clinical Reporting screen.

This change will not be made available immediately. A status message will be posted when this functionality is enabled.

Added the ability to record if a patient prefers not to receive a communication via a specific channel.

You will be able to record that the patient prefers not to receive communications via specific channels in the same places that you can record their preferred communication method (i.e. the 'Record Contact Method', 'Record Contact Details' and 'Record New Address' dialogues within the patient record).

This preference will be checked only when using the 'Communicate with Patient' dialogue in the patient and will warn you if you are trying to use a non-preferred method.

You will be able to receive tasks if there has been an amendment to one of your Visits.

As of the Maintenance Release there will be a new User Preference which will allow you to receive tasks if there has been an amendment to one of your Visits. If you make the amendment yourself then you will not receive a task.

Clinical Reporting  

Renamed the "Caseload / Team" registration report options to "Caseload / Team / Group". 

The "Caseload / Team" registration report options you see when creating/amending a report will be renamed to "Caseload / Team / Group". This change is to make it more obvious that this section also contains an option to restrict to a patient group.

A new SMS reminder will be sent after an appointment has moved.

At present, if an appointment is moved after an SMS reminder has already been sent (normally 24hours before), no reminder will be sent for the new time. After the next Maintenance Release, moving an appointment will clear the SMS reminder sent flag, so a new reminder will be sent with the new appointment time.

Kettering files that have embedded HTML will now be viewable in SystmOne.

Currently, you cannot view Kettering files that are XML with embedded HTML in SystmOne. As of the next Maintenance Release, you will be able to view these files. They will open in a pop up that displays the XML, then there will be a button for 'Show attachment' that will display the embedded HTML document in a new pop up.

You will now be able to bulk import 'SystmOne Letter' tasks on the Acquired Documents screen.

Currently, you need to manually process 'SystmOne Letter' tasks individually. After the next Maintenance Release, you will be able to bulk import 'SystmOne Letter' tasks by using the existing 'Electronic Letters' drop-down option in the Acquired Documents screen.

This option will be available if the 'Use Document Management for received SystmOne letters' preference is ticked in 'Organisation Preferences' > 'Scanning' > 'Document Processing'.

There will be a new Online Service to view the full clinical record with the detailed coded record, before the full record review date.

Currently, you can set up Online Service access such that a patient can either see all coded/full content, or coded/full content after a specified date. This has the limitation that a patient can only see either the coded record or the full record. After the Maintenance Release, you will be able to set up Online Service access so that a patient can see the full record, plus the coded record before the medical record review date for the full record. This will allow you to configure both the coded record review date and the full record review date independently.

For example, if you set the coded record review date to 1 Jan 2000, and the full record review date to 1 Jan 2010, patients will be able to see the detailed coded record from 1 Jan 2000 to 1 Jan 2010, and then the full clinical record from 1 Jan 2010 onwards.

Patients who already have online access configured will be unaffected by this change by default.

You will also be able to set up Online Service access in this way using the Grant Additional Online Services Access bulk action. You can do this by selecting both the full clinical record and detailed coded record options when using the bulk action.

This change will not take effect immediately after the Maintenance Release. TPP will post a further message once this functionality has been enabled. TPP expects to enable this functionality on or before 27 Feb 2020.
