Airmid -
Task rules which send to user groups will now apply to Airmid Conversations.
Currently, Task rules which send tasks to user groups do not apply to Airmid Conversation tasks. As of the Maintenance Release, this restriction will be lifted (meaning all task rules will work with all task types).

Appointments
When cancelling an appointment, you will have an option to backdate the cancellation time.
Currently the cancellation time is the time that you mark the appointment as cancelled, rather than the actual time it was cancelled at.
As of the next Maintenance Release, you will be able to backdate cancellation times on the system so that they will more accurately reflect the true cancellation time. This feature can be configured using an organisation preference (Appointments > Booking). You are only allowed to backdate the cancellation time if you mark it as cancelled "shortly" before or after the appointment was due to start. The definition of "shortly" is also an organisation preference.

Miscellaneous
List selectors are now searchable.
SystmOne contains many lists of options where you move items from a list of available options to a list of selected options. For example, Organisation Preference has a lot of settings where you select which staff members or staff roles are allowed to do various actions and some of these lists can contain hundreds of available options.
After the next Maintenance Release these list selectors will have a new option to filter by matching text. A new search button will be next to the existing 'select all' button. Clicking the search button will toggle a text box which will allow you to filter the list to only show items that contain the text you entered. This should make it quicker to find specific items, or find all options that contain e.g. the word 'nurse'.

Pathology/Radiology
Incoming pathology/radiology reports will be automatically filed to the patient record.
Currently, incoming pathology/radiology reports are not visible in the patient record until they have been manually filed through the Pathology/Radiology Inbox.
After the next Maintenance Release, incoming reports that have been automatically matched to a patient will be automatically filed to the patient record. Reports that have been automatically filed to the patient record will remain in the Pathology/Radiology Inbox until they have been reviewed. You will be able to review reports in the same way that you currently file them, using the View Report option, at which point you will be able to record the result indicator and follow-up actions as normal. You will also be able to mark all normal results as reviewed, which is equivalent to the current option to Bulk File reports. Once reports have been reviewed, they will no longer appear in the Pathology/Radiology Inbox.
You will not be able to re-match or un-match patient for reports that have been automatically filed. Instead, you will have to mark the report in error. This will remove the automatically filed report from the patient record, un-match the report from the patient and return the report to the Pathology/Radiology Inbox.
When viewing reports in the patient record, you will be able to see when the report was reviewed, or that the result requires reviewing. You will also be able to review the report from inside the patient record.
Automatically filed pathology/radiology reports will not be visible using Online Services until the report has been reviewed. This will apply to Airmid, SystmOnline and third-party online services.
This functionality will initially be piloted by a small number of practices. TPP will post another change message when this functionality is rolled out further.
Further Information from TPP - Tue 12 Jan
The right click option to reassign recipients will still be available from the Pathology/Radiology Inbox, where reports will be visible until they are reviewed. Results will be visible on the Pathology & Radiology node in the record as soon as they are received, where a match has been made. The review status will show in the Report Details section of the report on the Pathology & Radiology node.
This change also means that protocols become more useful. Since auto-matched results will be saved to the record as soon as they are received, protocols can now trigger based on the presence of new results without requiring the report to be manually filed first.
For example, you would be able to set up a protocol for patients on bisphosphonates which triggers on record retrieval when renal function has dropped (restricted to only trigger for appropriate staff if you wish). If you set this up now the filing process would not trigger the protocol and the protocol would only trigger if/when the record was retrieved after the report had been filed. Following piloting and the rollout of this change, the same protocol would trigger when the record was retrieved as long as the incoming report was auto-matched to the patient, with no manual filing required. This also applies to the record retrieval that happens when a report is viewed, so if the first action with the patient following receipt of the report is to view the report, the protocol can trigger based on the content of the report.
In addition, results will be instantly visible to other caring organisations rather than having to await filing by the requesting organisation. This will be helpful for out of hours providers. For example, a blood test result sent from a lab at 10pm is currently invisible to other organisations until filed by the GP in morning.
You will be able to specify different types of pathology requesting.
Currently, when sending a pathology request you can select any lab that has been configured in EDI Setup for pathology requesting.
In future, you will be able to specify which type of pathology requesting you wish to send to each pathology lab on the EDI Setup screen (you will be able to choose from pathology/radiology or cytology). When sending a pathology request, if your unit has multiple labs configured then you will be prompted to select the type in order to make it easier to choose the correct lab.
This functionality is part of the change to have multiple pathology URLs per trust that has slowly been rolled out during the year. TPP intend for this functionality to be turned on for everyone in the next couple of months
Sending a preset SMS message when filing a patient's pathology report will merge the patient fields into the message.
Currently when filing a pathology report and including to send a SMS message to the patient the preset messages will be sent exactly as they are setup. As of the next Maintenance Release the messages will merge patient fields in the same way that the fields are merged when creating SMS messages from within the patient record.

Prescribing
You will be able to use one-off pharmacy nominations when prescribing multiple drugs.
Currently, you are unable to use a one-off pharmacy nomination when prescribing multiple drugs. This will be improved in the next maintenance release to allow you to do this.
You will still not be able to use a one-off nomination if the prescriptions are to be sent to different recipients (i.e. one drug for a pharmacy, one appliance for an appliance contractor).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Protocols
The "sex" protocol branch will be renamed to "gender" and it will include options for indeterminate and unknown/unspecified genders.
Currently the sex protocol branch only allows the user to specify between male and female, and an error occurs if the protocol is used on a patient whose gender is recorded as either indeterminate or unknown/unspecified.
As of the next Maintenance Release, the "sex" protocol branch will be renamed to "gender" and it will include options for indeterminate and unknown/unspecified genders.

SystmOnline
You will be able to control which appointments are visible in online services by slot type, rota type and clinician.
Currently, you are able to control which appointments are bookable through online services from Organisation Preferences > Online Services > Appointment Booking. These preferences do not affect which appointments are visible to patients after they have been booked.
From the next Maintenance Release, you will be able to control which appointments are visible through online services from Organisation Preferences > Online Services > Appointment Viewing. These preferences will default to allow all appointments to be shown.
You will no longer be permitted to send SystmOnline credentials to un-verified email addresses or mobile numbers.
Currently, you are shown whether or not the patient's mobile telephone number and email address have been verified on the Online Services dialog, but you can still select them as the contact method for user names, passwords, account IDs and third-party passphrases even when they have not been verified.
From the next Maintenance Release, you will not be able to use SMS or email to send a patient the above information unless the mobile number or email address is verified.

Video Consultations
There will be options for muting your microphone and disabling your camera.
As of the next Maintenance Release, there will be additional options for muting your microphone and disabling your camera in the video consultation. These will be available to all participants in the room.
The workflow for Airmid Video Consultations will be improved.
As of the next Maintenance Release, you will be able to send invitations to Airmid Video Consultations outside of the 24-hour time window when you can start the video consultation.
Additionally, the status of the appointment will no longer be rolled back to "arrived" if the patient joins the video consultation room after a clinician. This means that users who are normally prompted to record appointment outcomes after a consultation will be prompted to record outcomes after video consultations.
